The Internet is a great resource for learning! There’s lots of good stuff on the Internet, but it’s often difficult to find.

This is why we created this page–to help you find the good stuff. Below, you will find websites for learning, websites for research, and websites just for fun! Take a look around, play some games, do some research, but be careful! YOU JUST MIGHT LEARN SOMETHING!

    Lots of great information on all educational subjects. Information is organized by age so it’s easy to find age appropriate information for each subject. (recommended by Mrs. Meyers)

    ReaderMonkey

    Looking for a good book to read for a report or just for fun, but don’t know which one to choose? Afraid of wasting your free reading time on a book that might be boring? Then, you need to visit ReaderMonkey, where the motto is “helping kids and good books find each other”! Created by CCA’s own Leeanne Hedrick (7th Grade), ReaderMonkey has an ever-expanding list of reviews of books especially for “middle readers”, ages 9-14. A great place for parents to visit too, because books also make great gifts!

    How Stuff Works

    Got lots of questions? “How Stuff Works” has lots, and lots, and lots of answers! Answers about computers & electronics, automobiles, science, entertainment, and people, are all provided at this award-winning Web site. Extras include free newsletters, surveys, and printable versions of all answers. “How Stuff Works” is part of the Discovery Company, which includes several popular cable and satellite channels (like Discovery Channel, TLC, Animal Planet and Discovery Kids) and their sister websites.

    Refdesk is free and family friendly. The site is the single best source for facts on the Net; a one-stop site for all things Internet: news, weather, sports, reference, encyclopedia, facts on file, dictionaries and encyclopedias, tutorials, search engines, Windows Operating Systems Resources, free stuff, games and much more.

    FunBrain is all about GAMES! All kinds of games! But watch out! You just might learn something while playing all those games! FunBrain has over 50 different games to explore and try, including games that help you practice skills you’ve learned in school, like math and reading. They also have Sudoku, comics, and “FunBlogs” for boys and girls.
