- Express creativity, imagination, and problem solving
- Make friends and have fun
- Develop self-esteem
- Have an individual portfolio of developmental and academic accomplishments
- Be respected as a unique child of God
As a parent, you will:
- Receive daily reports and oral communication
- Receive information on community services, child health, and welfare
- Be assured your child is receiving the best care possible
Our director and all lead teachers at the Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten level have bachelor’s degrees in early childhood education or equivalent experience. They also maintain food handlers license and CPR/first-aid.
At CCA, your child will grow through play and experimentation in a variety of interest centers in their room. One example is the block area, where children learn about both math and science. Concerning math, they learn about area, size, order, space, numbers, mapping, patterns, measuring, operations and estimating. Concerning science, they learn about weight, height, gravity, balance, symmetry, spatial visualization and simple machines. The list goes on to include many areas of social and cognitive development.

Our highly academic Pre-K program builds upon the skills learned in preschool and prepares students for Kindergarten. The program includes weekly chapel services, Bible stories, activities and memory verses. Occasional field trips and classroom visitors serve to enhance the program.
We focus on Kindergarten readiness skills with hands-on learning with a balance of class activities and individual or small group learning centers. Daily math, phonics, and prereading lessons are interspersed with age-appropriate music, science, language arts, social studies, and handwriting segments. Our curriculum offers flexibility for all types of learners at all stages of learning and incorporates lessons that promote comprehension and interaction. Key concepts are solidified using math manipulatives, cooking experiences, and periodic review. Each Bible story teaches a simple truth about God. Early handwriting skills and age-appropriate phonics are taught with songs and colorful visuals that will keep your little learner happy and engaged.
